is it safe to add additives to fuel?

Is it safe to add additives (such as injector cleaner, etc) to the gas tank with a rotary engine? I just want to be sure I am not going to do any damage to my engine!

thanks,
Kris

short answer yes, with a but. long answer no with a maybe. j/k

yes you can just beware of the super dooper clean as they were new invento fuel injector cleaner. just keep it simple like mmo or techron or stp stuff that has been around for a long time is mostly more effective

On my second new Mazda Factory engine, I had used Cheveron Techron concentrate. I had used it on every other oil change. That was after getting the injector cleaned and spec'd by RC. That block lasted just about 50K miles, with constant abuse. :@)

MMO and techron concentrate - are these things you add to the fuel tank, or through the spark plug holes?

techron is injector cleaner gum remover and so forth. you can get just the same results with useing chevron premium for a month or so i agree with the previous post that mmo is the best additive i have tried. and beleve me i have tried them all, exept slick 50 never did like that stuff.
