Ok
You have the right wiring diagram for the S-AFC. Now if you dowload the factory service manual from www.iluvmyrx7.com we can figure this out.
All you need is the section called 04fuel emissions control systems. Pages 31-33.
It gives a diagram of what wires do what in the harness. I believe you will need "
2D=O2 Sensor--->Use the blue wire on SAFC
2E=Air flow signal wire
2G=Throttle sensor
3J=12v battery
3G=Ground wire
With all this info you should be able to get it all hooked up right. If it still doesnt work then it might be defective. One more thing have your high throttle point set at anything higher than 99%, and low throttle at anything lower than 98%

the throttle position sensor on series 4 cars is basically an on/off switch. Series 5 have a full range TPS. What I mean is that on series 4 pressing the throttle will result in a percentage throttle reading of:
5%
12%
30%
100%
Anything over about a third throttle pressure will result in a 100% throttle indication.
Thus the SAFC works best on series 4 cars when the high throttle settings only activate at 99%+ or WOT, and the low settings at 98% and below where the car will run the majority of the time.
While it is possible to switch to a series 5 TPS I don't believe the S5 TPS has a way of contolling the OMP, so you would have to go to premix.
I don't see this being a possible cause of your non starting problem however. Unless you have your fuel settings very lean at low RPM's.
