SAFC...Is it necessary

My car is stock. Exhaust will be on friday. Plan to do other mods to it, I want to go as far as I can with it(mod wise) Do you think an SAFC is necessary this early?

turbo, non turbo? not until you start adding more air or fuel to the car you wont need a SAFC but you will need it once you start modding your car alot

most likely not.

you will only need an SAFC this early on if your car is a Turbo and the exhaust is a 3 inch turbo back.

yea, then you won't have to worry about it for awhile down the road.

unless you wanna throw an M90 on it and make if Forced Induction,

If you want to get one, I've seen dynos for stock or nearly stock cars that showed much smoother power curves and you could save a little on gas in the long run. Seeing as how they're under $200 on e-bay sometimes it isn't something that would hurt. Especially if you're gonna mod it out later. Just my $.02

Necessary? No. Recommended? Yes. Even on stock cars, gains when properly tuned (in the area of 10HP and a significantly improved top end, not to mention a few MPG) make it worthwhile. You'll be using it to LEAN out an NA.
