sigh.... hooking up my safc. I have the power, 2 grounds, and RPM hooked up. haven't cut the AFM one yet. I turned the key and nothing happens. pushed all the buttons and nothing. I have 12v across the harness red and black, so it's not the ecu connections...

I don't need the AFM to be connected to get power right? Is this a dud?

 

Sounds bad.. but I would double check your wiring. mine started up fine with only half the AFM wires connected. Did you use the manual?

the harness had unpluged itself inside the unit itself. I took the back off to take a look

I guess I was pulling on it a bit too hard.
