For whomever asked, the S-AFC retails at $419. I got mine for $315.

Haven't dynod, but I figure I have right around 200HP. I've ran mid 14s, but it hasn't been running right (5th and 6th port/VDI problems-also two broken solenoids, and a malfunctioning TPS and BAC). Anyway, I haven't yet installed my two underdrive pulleys, the rest of my silicone vacuum hoses, and my S-AFC. I'm hoping for high 13s or low 14s once it's all installed and running correctly. I just haven't gotten around to doing much work on it lately. I have the replacement solenoids, the TPS, a new underbelly plate, and a stainless steel clutch line on the way. Then I'll get the Pineapple racing 5th and 6th port sleeves so I can get this damn thing running right!

-Derek

P.S. If anyone has a good working BAC for sale, then please drop me an email. (derek_fullerx@hotmail.com)

Hey man, I don't have wide-band myself, but we'll see what we can do to help!

Ted where's your shop located (used to live in Vegas)? I will come by. If you want you can email me your contact info for when I come down. Did you get my pm about the turbo? I would like to do that also when I come down. Do you have the stuff to do it? Email me at c_shepherd7@hotmail.com.

As for the wire that you can run to the SAFC....its the only blue wire on the wiring harness. You don't hook it up to anything on our cars, but you can use it as a voltage reader. This can tell you what the 02 sensor is sending to the ecu. Its still not as accurate as a wide band, but its free. And it is far better than a AF gauge like autometer. I can take a pic tomorrow if you cant find the wire.

Oh yeah youll have to ask around for the specs of what readings you should be at. I forgot

hey

Ok guys. I just found out what my hesitation prob was. Everyone said it might of been the injectors but it wasnt a hesitation wich is what i was trying to explain. When cold only, i get this sputering at all rpms when i eccelerate. And specles of gas came out the tail pipe.

When i disconected the afc altogether the car ran much better and stoped sputering. Many of u will tell me I hooked it up wrong but I looked at the godam picture from apexi and did exacly what it said. And i soldered all conections. So whats up. Why sputer and posibly **** up an injectors control(the raw gas drops) when cold only. It still ran like crap when warm but still didnt sputer????? whats up????????????????????????????? No one knows.

I've heard of several S-AFC's that were defective from the factory... maybe you got a bad one.

hey

Another thing... Why did my safc not read the correct rpms... It was alway a couple to few hundred off. And when i put the throtle pedle in the afc takes a wile to read the percentage. Example , 1/3 throtle and afc just started to pick it up and reads 1% and up from their. Anyone know...I have it hooked up exacly how apexi said and used solder on all conections.

First if the AFM of the 89+ cars is different than the 86-88 then I am wrong, however I know on 87 it should be 05in 05out, there is no question of this, and it could be the reason your car has a problem, check the Apexi website and download the info they have. Second you connect the blue wire from the S-AFC to the O2 sensor wire going to the ECU I dont remember what colour it is but the factory service manual will say.

Just run a wire staight off of your 02 sesor from the engine bay. Put it to the blue wire on the wire harness to the safc. I will take pics today. I have to hook up my new safc.

I got one of the defective ones from the factory. Thats why I got a new one.

Hey I need more time. I have started to re-do it, but I started school again. I have the write-up for headlight conversion, and am in the middle of a write-up on a profec-A install, and Safc install and tuning. I hope to have it up soon. Check back in a week. But yes the site is pretty new
