Question s6 tranny in a s4?

have one of you done this? how long did it take? and did you need a custom mount, was that all you needed? if i did swap did you use a push or pull clutch and what fly wheel did you use?

The basic guts of the trans is the same (FD to Turbo II), but the input shaft is too short.&nbsp So like sub9lulu says, it basically won't fit...

Isnt the S6 one weaker anyways? FD guys break them all the time(ask vosko), but i have heard of very few broken FC trannies.

It's all basically the same internals.&nbsp The FD trans has double-synchos on certains gears, so it's supposed to be more "robust", but others will argue otherwise.

You need the FC input shaft on the transmission - the FD input shaft is about 1/2" shorter to fit with the thicker FC bell housing.

Why not a TurboII tranny/clutch? They're pretty bulletproof and much easier to install than an S6 tranny.
