S6 MAP with S5 n370

I haven't been on for over a year and I tried searching but didn't come up with much.

I was wondering if I could use an s6 MAP with an s5 n370 ecu. I know it won't be plug and play, but I was trying to see if the boost parameters were about the same.

If anyone has any input please let me know.

Thanks,

Edgar

More specifically I believe that it would be the n3a1 map sensor if im correct?

The reason I ask is because my n370 map sensor is well kinda breaking at the nipple and I have a chance to pick up an FD one for 20 bucks.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

won't work

different plug, different perameters, different inputs/outputs.

FD is a simple 3 pin MAP, FC is a 6 pin(in some cases 5) which has a feedback loop for the baro sensor.

technically i could never get the FC units to read like current traditional map sensors either to tap my water injection into. it's just a strange setup.

Thanks!

I guess I'm going to have to MacGuyver it to work. Maybe I can create a new nipple for it using tubing and silicone sealer.

or just super glue it to the map sensor and only disconnect the line from the engine from now on.

Good point. that seems a lot more efficient. Thanks Karack.

yes the FD has the atmospheric pressure sensor built into the stock computer like most other modern ECU's so that simplifies things
