s5 vert to s5 TII?

alright i suck at the endless searching. I basically have a donor car thats a s5 TII. Now the way i thought it would be is removed engine, harness, ecm, fuel pump and installed in s5 vert. however the more i read the more i am getting mixed signals on this.
Most about the wiring harness since that really the only difference (i think) i have the wiring harness and i planned to just use it but will i need to do any mods on it? I have the option of using either the na ps pump or turbo but one of them is going on my drift car so.....

I am heavily mechanically(lead vw tech) inclined i just seriously can't find a straight answer and my rotary adventure is just starting mechanically so help would be awesome

well the main question is "is my remove and straight up install into vert the whole story?"

but i do get your point that the ecu is going to work fine
