Arrow s5 vert oil press gauge says no pressure, restart and then its fine?? Help!!

Hey guys, I have a vert in Oregon with my father and he drove it today and said he started it and there was no oil pressure and he shut it off and back on and it was fine. He started it again today and same deal. I need to know what is up with this. It cant be the gauge. Let me know guys what you think. As soon as he sells that house there he will be shipping it out to me so I want it in good running shape-

Thanks-

Derek

Or the sender wire itself is bad :p

Usually the sender wire just falls off though It's not on there really tight. MAKE SURE THE CONTACTS ARE CLEAN. They get FILTHY cause it's right under the oil filter, and people love dumping oil on it!.

alright guys anyone have a pic or description of how or where to check the sender wire? Is it easily accessible? And if the oil pump itself was failing would it do the same thing? Thanks-

It connects to a brass "bell" looking thing coming out of the left side of the engine right under the oil filler tower. It has a flat clip connecting the wire to the sending unit. The sending units are a common failure item.
