S5 vert lights on coupe

Is it possible to use the vert lights & their center piece and make the part open the hatch?

Probably not without abunch of hacking up the car but it'd be interesting.

Yes they fit, in fact I learned that on here they do. Weather or not you could get that key whole to open your hatch though I couldn't tell you.

Key hole is in a different spot, but you could relocate the assembly and linkage to make a vert key hole work, and then fill in the rear hatch key hole.

Icemark, thanks

You really think it'd work okay? I've looked back there before but I've never seen the vert stuff so I dunno.

Metal wise, the 87.5 and up coupes are the same as the verts on that back panel (even down to the spare tire bucket), so yeah, it should work. You just might have to cut a hole and a couple of screw holes.

I have some euro S4 coupe lights that I was planning on doing that with a vert license plate panel on the next Sport or 88 GTU I find.

nice. i was thinking about this the other day too.

i wanted to get some s4 coupe tail lights and see if i could get them on my 88 vert without cutting too much up, but i wasnt sure what to do.

could coupe lights on a vert fit?i have one on right now to have a tail light but it doesnt fit right.

i probably need to fix that haha.

They would fit, but you would need to remove the trunk's key cyl and linkage... although it sounds like cmanns would buy it from you.

I got s5 lights, I plan to stick with s5

The s4 lights are okay, I'd need louvers for the hatch though to enjoy the s4 tails.

I meant his vert key cyl... if he puts coupe lights in his vert, he will need to remove the vert's key cyl and linkage...

So if you wanted to get rid of the key near the 3rd brake light, that would be the way to do it.... use vert lights, license plate and key cyl and linkage on your coupe.
