s5 turbo swap with s4 turbo drivetrain?

s5 turbo swap with s4 turbo drivetrain?

Do 89-91 s5 turbo use the same transmission, front axle, rear axle, driveshaft, and diff as the s4 87-88 turbo ii? Or does the s5 turbo only use the s4 turbo rear axle, diff, driveshaft, and trans? Planning on dropping in a jdm s5 turbo since finding a s5 turbo usdm parts car is difficult, whereas s4 turbo parts are everywhere.

the engine is managed so differently that its going to be really involved. probably mores than its worth frankly.

the s4 diff is a clutch type LSD where as the S5 uses a viscous type LSD. most people prefer the S4 diff. The 5th gear ratio in the S5 transmission is also SLIGHTLY different. Its no big deal. those are the only differences im aware of
