s5 turbo II Swap

I recently took out the NA 13b from my Rx7, and I am putting in the Turbo II from the FD, I have never done this before, does anyone have any tips or info that I need to know. My concern is there anything I need to change in the drive train, mounts or anything else, Thank you

It’s not the turbo 2 engine you’re putting in. You’re installing the rew engine which does need different mounts. I’ve never done that swap as I kept it within same generations so good luck.

but you will need an engine mounting kit.

what ecu are you going to run? Hopefully a full standalone.

you're ahead of the game if you're using an aftermarket ecu, the FD ecu runs well, but its a lot of work.

there are a few areas that are hard with an REW swap.
the FD throttle body elbow does not fit with the FC power steering. something needs to be modified
the FC lower radiator hose hits the FD turbos (they stick further forward).
you need to make your own intercooler piping (or modify a kit)
if you use the twin turbos you need to modify the exhaust, if you used an FC turbo or kit, this can be a bolt on

No offense man, but if youre confusing turbo IIs and REWs, you might want to step back and do a bit more research. The REW engine youre planning on dropping in is going to be a LOT of work, and quite a bit of fabrication. It seems like you may be jumping into this swap a little premature, especially seeing as how you're asking if "anything needs to change", which tells me that you probably haven't done any reading into how to actually perform this swap. This is no small job youre looking at, and isn't something that just drops in and turn key starts. I hope you haven't bought an REW yet, because youre going to need to spent a LOT more money on completing the swap.
