S5 turbo ii swap

I purchased a 90 gtu/gxl turbo ii swap project. I've got a lot figured out from when I first got the car but when I try to see if it cranks it's a no go. I don't know what areas I need to look at any help thanks, josh.
I can post pics later if I need to

Voltage from the ignition switch runs to the starter cut relay then onto the interlock switch (found on the clutch pedal) and then to the starter solenoid. You need to check for voltage at the interlock switch w/key to start at the switch's Black/Green wire. If the B/G wire has voltage w/key to start then check the other wire to the switch which is Black/Red except the clutch has to be depressed for the voltage to pass through the switch when the key is put to start.

Have you downloaded the service manual from foxed.ca?
Satch- bless his heart- will stay here and feed you info indefinitely but it's all right from the wiring diagrams, which you can get for free and study at your leisure.
There is nothing exotic about the starter circuit, it's pretty much identical to any 90's Japanese car.

If you turn the key to the on position do the wipers or turn signals work. This will tell you if thge ignition switch is powered or not and if it is not then the car will not turn over. If it is powered then move onto the interlock switch on the clutch.

Pump turns on w/key to start and not key to on unless the fuel check connector was jumpered. But you say the engine would not crank, which means the engine does not rotate, which is different then rotating but not starting, so you need to clarify your problem so it could be addressed properly.

I apologize if I sound confusing my fuel pump does not turn on when I turn the key to the on position before it is turned to start. Where is the relay or fuse located for the fuel pump.

But it doesn't turn on w/key to on as already stated. You have to jumper the fuel check connector to get the fuel pump to turn on w/key to on otherwise you have to turn the key to start.

Alright I will start over
Just tried to get it to crank over. I do not want to attempt to fire it up I am not there yet. I put the key in and pushed the clutch in and the starter engaged slightly and I lost all power. I did not hear the fuel pump kick in either. Dash lights were working and headlights were working now nothing.

Scrap that I checked fuses and did nothing sat in the car made that last post tried it again for the hell of it and now she turns over and everything lights up and is dandy. I'm guessing now my only problem is why the fuel pump won't kick in.

The fuel pump is powered by the circuit opening relay. It's located underneath the dash just to the right of the steering column. It is black and Yellow and has 5 wires, three on top and two on the bottom. W/key to start the top right wire, which is Blue, powers the pump thus it should have voltage. When using a multimeter you can use the bottom left wire that is solid Black as a ground source.

Again with feeling, if you jumper the fuel check connector then the pump will turn on w/the key to on thus you could check it that way also. If need be remove the outflow fuel line and place it in a jug and do the above to prove one way or the other if it works.

Sounds like dirty or corroded battery cables to me. You should probably check that.

Nvm, i read the last post.

The center wire on the top row should be Black/White and it should have voltage w/key to on. If it does not then check the engine fuse in the interior fuse box.

And did you check the blue wire for voltage w/key to start and the clutch depressed?

The clutch needs to be depressed because you are simulating the car being started.

I get nothing from the blue wire when the clutch is pressed with key to on , black white wire I get 12v is there a way to connect a wire to the pump or somewhere that would let the pump turn on when the key is turned to on
