S5 tps on S4 tb (TII)

I hear this is plug and play, but I must be an idiot or something, but I can't figure out how to mount it.

I have an extra TII manifold and also an S5 NA manifold and I can't tell how to put it on just by looking.

the TPS unit itself is identical,, works off the same scale of output,, on the s5 it runs off a cam that represents 100% of the stroke

while in narrow band position ( s4 ) it reads 0-100 for only 25% of the throttle movement

on s5 there is two TPS ( narrow and full ) and the wiring colours have changed for easy ID
and the wiring of both TPS fit into a common plug

if you was to cut either TPS from the plug and fit it into the s4 bracket ( remove the little clip holding it on )
then its only a matter of ID for the wire colours to make it work

all these TPS's are the same part,, just different wiring colours on different brackets, running off different cams from the TB

Yeah, I need it to work with the Haltech harness. I guess I'll just cut off the wires for the extra sensor and use the s4 bracket.

No that will not work, the haltech uses the full use of the tps sensor, so a true full range tps is needed. If you had a spare s5 tii tb and for whatever reason still wanted the to use the s4 tb body, the tps and cams are interchangable.

yes you need a s5 TB or the cam mech from one for the TPS to see 100 % stroke = 100% output

if you fit any TPS to an s4 TB it will only see a cam that moves to 100% output at 25 % stroke

if you are using a haltech, it would be a good idea to use the GM TPS...they are not very expensive

can I use an S5 NA TB instead of the S4 TII one (probably not)? just asking because I have it lying around.

I'm not opposed to getting the GM sensor, but that would mean that I'd have to change the plug on my harness.

The thing is, my haltech harness is already wired for an S5 (the ecu/harness was sold to me with the car). So it already has the S5 tps plug on there. I was told using S5 tps worked so I just bought one, but it doesn't fit.

NA TB will have the cable pull from opposite direction
easiest method is a t2 s5 TB,, swaps straight on
