s5 tps question

ok, i tested my tps today.

the narrow sensor reads ok.

the wide had some wierd readings.

What should the wide read?

Also, besides the 2 very easy visible bolts, how do you guys manage to get the screw underneath out.

I messed around with it for an hour, and couldnt get it out.

That screw blows ash. Its one of the main reasons I didn't swap out TPS, I've just dealt with some **** surging... Did you determine the TPS is bad? You don't need to remove the TPS to adjust it.

The wide range should read just like the short range.
With the throttle pulled off, working the plunger through its full stroke, you should see a smooth sweep from near 0 to about 6K ohms.

If it's NA, pull the TB.

If it's turbo, pull the alternator.
Then it's a 10mm deep well with a swivel.

it's an n/a.

And yea we did pull the tb and still couldn't get it off.

Didn't go any further than that, cause i didn't have another gasket to replace the one we would of needed.

The wide went from 6.5 right to 2.5-3.

The narrow is fine, but the wide is my problem.

Such a pita

and it sounds like your reading it backwards or something cuz thats what i got only reversed after putting on my new tps before the adjustment
