annoying bizzing/ticking sound
the buzzing/ticking noice starts as soon as i start my car, and the warning lights flash rapidly when the ehgine is turning over... the flashing stops as soon as the engine turns over but the buzzing noice continues, the noice goes away when i rev it passed 2000 rpm then comes back it drops below 2000...
any help would be great!!
i drive a 10AE if it makes a difference

I think VietFC is dead on.
Want a good way to test it? Pull the belt off your power steering for a little bit and start the car, see if it goes away.

A rapid clicking sound? that sounds like a relay to me.. . have you checked your electrical system out? many autoparts stores will do this for free for you, if your car will reliably run over there.. Other than that, time to check the voltages.. if you put a meter to the positive and negtive of the battery with car off, you should have ~12-12.5 V. warm the car up to temp and leave it running, put a meter across the red, bolted-on connector to the alternator, and then to a ground.. you should get ~13.5-14V. Let us know if either of these aren't within spec.

First off, let's say the alt voltage regulator crapped out on you, causing the alt warning light relay to chatter down there in the CPU. Best case scenario, it's only the alt...Worst case, you may need an alt AND a CPU. Put the "new" alt in, and take it from there, check the voltages per Wonko's instuctions...

It's not that hard to get tight, especially if you have a friend.. Actually, having a friend (or, more than one if you can manage it), is helpful in a lot of situations
I did not have a friend to help me with my alternator, but it still wasn't too bad.. just losen up the bolt a little bit on the sliding side of the alternator, put a crowbar underneath it, push up, and ratchet it together. your proper play should be somewhere around 1/2" when you press in on it I think.. i'd check the specs in the FSM, though.
