S5 Tii throttle cable routing

I'm trying to figure out how to route and mount the Tii throttle cable on our JDM S5 Tii swap.

There are two brackets on the brand new Tii throttle cable we have. The bracket closest to the accelerator pedal slides on the cable housing; this is Bracket1. The second one is glued to the cable housing in about the middle of the cable and so does not move; this is Bracket2.

I believe Bracket1 connects to the bolt under the TMIC attachment bolt as shown here. True? If so I'll need to route the cable on the outside of the a/c line.

On page F2-58 of the FSM it appears to show that Bracket2 should connect to the engine lift bracket coming out from under the UIM (has all the hard vacuum lines on it).

But if it does, the brackets dont line up as seen in this picture. It's 90 degrees off. It could mount to the little nut on the thermostat housing, but wont reach as it is glued to the cable housing.

The other thing I noticed on F2-58 (and nearby pages) is that it appears the cable should get thinner before Bracket2. But mine gets thicker after Bracket2 as seen here.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Jim

I dont know if my pic will help you- but the one bracket should be able to reach the thermostat housing area

Thanks, Rob! Pretty engine bay. Does your Bracket2 slide along the cable housing or is glued like mine?
