S5 TII motor swap in s5 vert

I have a few questions about this, i already asked one, and got that answered, but my other is about the transmission. If i just swap out the motor, does the tranny have any problems, or will it fit and work ok? Would it be easier if I bite the bullet and do a full tranny/motor swap?

if anyone has any info on this, and anything else i will need for this swap please let me know.

thanks
chris

im under the impression the N/A tranny can only handle about what the N/a can put out. You should get the tranny, axles, diff and do it right

Hi Chris,

I've heard of people using the NA transmission before, but they're prone to failure. Some people just turbo the NA engine and leave everything else in place.

If you find any good writeups for this, let me know, since I'm looking to do a vert swap also and want to know what must be done vs. what would be a good idea. For example, the T2 brakes are way better, but not necessary for the car to operate.

Did it.

All of the T2 stuff bolts right in. Ditch the NA tranny. Its MORE work I'm sure.

Replace the Tranny, driveshaft, diff, and halfshafts with T2 counterparts.

The vert has the SAME brakes as the T2.
