s5 tII engine with s4 tII components

So I have all the s4 components that bolt on to the engine block itself but I don't have an s4 engine block. I have recently met a guy who is going to sell me a s5 engine block only for $500. Can I use all the s4 equipment on the s5 block will this work out I'm already planning running a pre mix and not worried about passing smog. Can anyone help me out with this???

Look at the differences of the two. For starters the front iron of the s4 is different then the s5 just for the OMP.

YEs. This is what I am doing.. The major "wont work" is the s5 front cover and waterpump are different, so they have to be from the same series to work on the car, you cant mix and match.. If you are going to run the s5 front cover use the s5 waterpump housing... also, you will need to match the flywheel and front counterweight to the series engine..

Otherwise it all bolts up..

If you are going to Premix then there is no sense in changing the front cover.Just take of the OMP and use a block off plate.
The only down side I can see is that the thermostat neck will be plastic(s5 compared to aluminum s4).but you can buy an aluminum aftermarket neck.
the components should be all s4 (injectors, sensors) BUT you can use the "better" s5 turbo.
Oh,keep the lower manifolds and such.but use the S4 TII throttle body.

Yes it will work use a S4 wiring harness all electronics and throttle body from a S4 with the TPS you dont have to worry about OPM at all just zip tie the wires out the way and your good. Make sure you get a FCD or you'll pop your engine like I did if your swapping in a turbo. Stock ECU works unless its N/A to turbo unless it is a vert ecu NA338 like I have running mine now...
