S5 taillight wiring questions...

Ok I'll start this off by stating for the record that I am an electrical retard...

I did the taillight mod where you remove the light diffuser panels, and they look great, except at night you can clearly see the bulbs... I was wondering if you could put some brighter bulbs in them to mask them better at night...

~Also~

Does anyone know how to wire the turn signals to come on with the tails, and stay on until the blinkers are activated? I've searched and couldn't find anything...

Thanks in advance!

If your bulbs are clrealy visible then I would recommend going with some chrome bulbs:

You can get them for brake bulbs, driving lights, blinkers etc.
Would that give you the effect your looking for?
Just a caution on brighter bulbs, they tend to melt your tail light housing.

Have you thought of VHT Night Shades? It can tint your tail lights slightly. Would that help?

Post up some pics so we can more clearly see what the problem is that your describing.

Here ya go... These aren't mine, but it's the same modification to the lights...

And I'm not as concerned with the bulbs as much as the wiring of the blinkers...

why the hell would you want your blinkers to be constantly on ( not blinking i know but the blinker light on solidly )
thats jsut sounds ******* retarded to me

blinkers are meant to blink hence the name and tell everyone that you are making a turn
now if you leave them on all the time and the only blink when you turn them on that just kinda defeats the purpose doesnt it sine youll have a solid yellow light on all the time

Dude alot of cars are designed to do that from the factory... What's the difference? Just like your front turn signals stay on as running lights... I want my rears to do the same... And I'm not here for criticism... If you don't know how to wire the ******* things, please don't come here to chastize me for my opinions... Thank you...

get a dual filament socket, wire one to the parking lights, and one to the blinker wiring. insert dual filament bulb, and there you have it.
my buddy has this one his S5, and he is so proud of it...

COOL, I thought that you'd have to screw with the relay switch and rewire it or get one from a car that would already have that function, but this is mutch easier.
