s5 t2 tranny into an 88 vert.

Can a s5 T2 tranny fit into my 88 vert? My friend is giving me the whole set up, tranny, driveshaft, diff. etc. Will this fit into my 88 vert? thnx

As long as you have all of the drivetrain, it'll fit. Of course, if you're still running an NA engine then you're going to be screwing yourself. The T2 parts are much heavier and without the added power of a T2 engine, you're going to go slower.

Also, if you're keeping the NA engine you'll need to change the flywheel with a T2 engine so it'll match to the tranny. Good luck.

Just keep in mind...If you change evrything over, the TII driveshaft will not bolt up to the n/a rear. The bolt pattern on the yoke is different.
