S5 T2 temp gauge

WTF is up with this thing? I just had a fresh rebuild, new koyo radiator, black magic efan, new hoses, new thermostat, new water pump and just had my car tuned.

Now I was told by the tuner its sitting nice at 86 while on the dyno and driving around. I didnt have my laptop with me or another water temp gauge (getting it soon) ... but the temp gauge was at the upper range of the Mid section, right before it hit the H range. I havent really driven it enough to see if its the gauge, sender, etc.

I'll be driving it around tomorrow with the microtech to see whats going on.

Do you guys think its just a fucked up gauge or could something I'm overlooking be malfunctioning ?

Never had a provblem with my S5 temp gauge, but they say they aren't the most accurate, but it would certainly be difficult to say sitting in front of a PC if you gauge is acting correctly or there is a problem. With an infrared thermometer you could get a reasonable idea by hitting the radiator hose, but other than that put in a cheap mechanical gauge to be sure as they can be had for $20 bucks.
Good luck
