Brown with black stripe on my '91. Hailers has found some S5 grounds to be solid black. I will be grounding mine today

See I have only seen Black on all 88 and laters for ground for the boost sensor, while the 87 had the Brown/Black.

So, I would ground the black if it has black or the brown/black if it doesn't have the black.

Just being contentious here: I have a 91 fsm here and its gone back to brown/black from the pure black you see in the online 88 fsm and the brown/black I have in my 87fsm. Pictures available for money

It was brown and black. But the resistance between the boost sensor and the ground/battery was 0.067 ohms. Which is not even worth the effort to re-do.

Then go to the ground wire on the tps and check and see what the resistance is on it, then the afm and then the water thermo sensor. I believe those and a couple more are all spliced together. One bad splice could make something not work quite right.
