S5 short block pricing...

I was wondering what would be a going price for an S5 13BT short block that has no compression in the front rotor?....not sure how bad it looks in there.

for a bum short block? I wouldn't pay more than $200 USD beings there's no idea whether it's rebuildable or not. $200 is just a decent price for a used everything except the bum rotor/housing.

Alright, here's the deal. I blew the engine myself...no major detonation, it just gave up and shut off on me. I brought a new engine and there is that core charge that I could get back if I return the bad short block. I was thinking that maybe I should just keep it and take my time rebuilding it to something better than a streetport. Is it worth it or should I just return it and get the money?. There is no compression in the front back rotor seems fine, I had it running but it would'nt stay on at low idle(probably was'nt good for that front rotor housing).

Here's what you do. Tearing down a rotory isn't that big a deal and can be down fairly quickly. Just split it open and check out the front apex seals/rotor/housing and decide then whether you want to try and rebuild it or not. Then...if you decide to go for it keep it, if not put it back together only keep certain things like the good apex seals and such and send it on it's way and get your core money back.

it's not worth too much... the front rotor and rotor housing will be garbage.
