well it still won't be right,as the ecu will look for an electrical OMP which is not on the s4 engine.
You can put the s5 parts on the s4 engine,or have a go at putting s4 parts and harness on.

You'll need the s4 t2 ecu,afm,etc... No matter what unless you already would have a stand alone management like megasquirt or haltech. It's a lot more work going from s5 car to s4 motor.

I think what My Dear friends are saying is that it is not just "Plug and play, call it a day".
87t-66 gave you a link that you should not overlook.
If you go stand alone(Ie: haltech) then you pretty well set.
If you go S5 Turbo you need the parts.
If you go s4 then be prepared to get frustrated with wiring etc...and know that the S5 ECU will NOT run that S4 engine...not without the electrical components for the engine being missing.(S5 OMP).
..you may get some suggestions to sell either the chassis or the engine, and get the proper match to do the swap(s4 to s4 or s5 to s5).
BUT it can be done,if you get all the required parts.
As Mentioned it doesn't just slip in there nicely.

I don't need a picI know about the harnesses, but if you want to post for info, all the power to ya.
You are finding out that there are significant differences.SEE?..that harness tells you that.
It's your decision, you are getting advice and from good people,so what you plan to do is ultimately up to you.
To make the S4 Engine into an S5 would not be so bad.
But then again a Standalone can be used from one car to another if the engine decides to go..(lots of options.Your Choice).

I think I may have a complete s4 harness, it's from a n/a but what I understand there's very minimal differences.
