S5 Rotor Housing Identification

Hey Team,

nuked a rotor housing (racecar) and am trying to identify what it is for a replacement. It came off of an 89 S5 however comparing to Banzai Racing identification chart, I now dont know what to think it is.

It has a blocked water jacket port, no diffuser sleeve and a knock sensor port.

There's no way this is an FD housing is there?

Threaded section above spark plugs for knock sensor means 89+

blocked coolant passage means s5 na or fd

sleeve is either a sleeve swap or that’s a stock fd housing.

The sure fire way to tell the difference between the 2 listed above is to look at the legs where sealant is typically applied to keep splashing from the oil pan causing a leak. If the legs are smooth and flat the housings is s5 na with sleeve swap. If the legs have grooves to help retain sealant, then it is FD.

Thanks Brian - they are smooth. Must be s5 NA which checks out. The lack of diffuser threw me for a loop
