S5 omp -> S4 omp

Is it possible with an S5 block?
I know there is no gear to drive a mechanical omp on the s5 block, is it just a matter of adding it in? or do you need to change out something else? will anything interfere with this in particular?

I know that not using the electric omp will put the ecu into limp mode, but what if you were using a standalone and wanted to keep the oil metering system instead of pre-mixing?

thx

The reason for it is becuase the mechanical omp's rarely ever fail.

You need to use an S4 front cover if you want to run a mechanical MOP.

alrighty, so they are interchangable, thats pretty much the only difference is the port for the gear that drives the s4 omp?

I also asked that question on teamfc3s.org recently and someone said that you might also have to change the water pump to S4 and water pump housing to S4. Check out the post in the turbo forum.... still new
