S5 no check engine light
S5 no check engine light
Changed my short block for a S4 streeport new short block. My car is an S5 so few adjustments were necessary
Starts really fine, sounds great but it is in a limp mode with the check engine light on. Tried to check my codes, but the check engine just don't light up.
Is it supposed to come on when the key is at on... and then go off ? What could cause that ???

If the car is an S5 and the Engine is an S4,how are you dealing with the OMP?
It has to be hooked up,and tossed to the side(connected to the harness) in order to run.
If the OMP is not Connected to the Harness,the ECU wil go into Limp mode.
Unless you are using the S5 Front cover on the s4 keg.Then it is good,
