S5 NA Aftermarket Exhaust Questions
Sorry for the probably stupid questions...I am new to the NA game and want to make sure I have everything straight.
I have a stock S5 NA and am looking to get a full aftermarket exhaust. I am using the air pump for my 5/6th ports and currently have the stock split air pipe hooked up. If I get an exhaust without the split air hook up, can I just plug the hole on the air pump on the other end? Or is there a better way to do this? I need to keep the air pump for the 5/6th port activation (right?)
Thanks

Yes, you need the airpump to activate the ports, the exhaust has nothing to do with them.
Your S5 is injecting air to the cat, if your new exhaust won't have a cat (or does have one but it doesn't require air injection), you need do nothing to the stock air system, just unplug the hose down to the cat.

+1 the split air pipe on an S5 is nearly useless. i hooked up LED's on the emissions solenoids, and it hardly ever uses split air
