Question Is this a good buy, or waste of money???

So I haven't been around these parts in years since I parted with my 88 TII back in 04-05, but my passion for the rotary has been peaking thru lately. I found this 90 vert on craigslist and have an offer for $1200.

The good (as far as i can tell)
- racing beat header
- aluminum radiator
- 15" wheels with good set of nitto radials
- fairly straight body, TII hood
- working convertible top
- engine seems sound, idles and pulls good, no smoke (need to put a compression tester on it)

The bad
- racing seat added in drivers seat, not aligned, or mounted properly
- racing steering wheel, also installed half assed
- second ignition installed as primary stock location didn't work, and the guy didn't know how to replace it
- no power steering (with a small racing wheel, not practical)
- no a/c (this is Texas)
- no air pump
- straight pipes to mufflers, no cat
- e-fan half *** mounted
- left front fender primered and tagged?
- left front bumper slight damange
- lower springs or chopped, only sits like 2-3" off the ground

I can't blame the previous owner too much, as back when I had my 7s I was all about customization as well, now however older and a tad smarter I recognize most things are better left stock, unless you want to dump 30K in to do it right.

What do you guys think? it will be a project for sure, but I'm wondering if this would be an okay deal to start from. Thinking get the seat and steering wheel sorted first, then the suspension and body, maybe a few years down the road do a turbo conversion.

the thing is I don't really need another toy at the moment, between the kx250F, GSXR750, and little boat I have the garage is pretty full.. but the rotary inside me is telling me this is too good of a deal to pass up.. though the mechanic inside me is cringing a little bit...
