s5 n/a tranny in s4

Ok I did search, but help me get this straight:

To put an s5 n/a tranny in an s4, I need a different counterweight and some kind of crossmember?

just the crossmember.. I think you can use the same driveshaft.

The counterweight change comes from the flywheel (which you're not changing), not the tranny.
