s5 n/a to s5 t2

before anybody says anything, ive searched haha. anyways heres my story, had my 91 n/a for long enough, its showing signs of dieing. and i have been saving up money from fafsa and work. i would just go find and buy a t2, but i love this fc " ive even named it and everybody knows it by sky = P " and dont really want to get a 2nd car. what i want to know is what would it take to swap an s5 t2 into an s5 n/a. would my n/a tranny hold? " got a few iffy answers on this one " would i need to swap the driveshaft? would the motor just be a drop, bolt and your off thing? what about axels/knuckle arm? would the t2 exhuast fit where the n/a was " where would the turbo manifold go anyways?" and if i missed anything or said something wrong feel free to correct me haha

These may help out a little. https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=26647 http://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/naturbo.htm

I've always heard that the n/a transmission won't hold up for much more then 200 hp but I will find out soon enough with my turboed 6port with a dyno pull and some harsh launches at the track later this year.

I would highly recommend doing a complete swap in cluding tranny and halfshafts. I'm doing this swap myself and thats the best way to do it. I know plenty of people that have snapped rear halfshafts on NAs, so just think what a turbo would do to those. I think its cork sport (or someone) that sells rear halfshafts able to handle like 500 hp and mazdatrix has an aluminum driveshaft that can take 400+ hp, so those would def handle anything you throw at them.
