S5 motor into s4 chassis

I am considering swapping an S5 long block into my S4 chassis. I was figuring I would also need the complete intake & VDI, engine harness, ECU and maybe the gauge cluster. Anything else I might need to swap parts-wise? Any help would be appreciated.

OK... since no one cares to respond. Add the AFM to the list & I would have to re-pin the S4 gauge cluster to work with the S5 ECU & harness?!?

Ant help would be nice.

Why bother? The amount of work and cost involved isn't worth it!

I can't believe how many people are thinking about swapping s5 to s4 or n/a to turbo? IT IS CHEAPER to Sell and Buy another one in the long run!!!!

If you say they are hard to come by then why are there so many in the for sale section of this forum, ebay, and autotrader.com?

S4 is what I already have. What's so hard to understand about that? What would U put in there? An S5 seems relatively easy and able to put out about 200 Hp. So what's the problem? I'm not lookin' to go turbo...so... what would u do if u had a piece of crap NA that U inherited from Your dead father? Just curious.

why not keep all your s4 electronics and just swap the shortblock and s5 uim with a rpm switch to control the vdi? easier, less wiring, and you have the benefit of the s5 lighter rotors and vdi.

My brother inlaw is restoring a s4 t2 I bought for next to nothing someone had started to put a s5 jspec in. Here is the problem every bit of wireing is different in the whole car. Now this is what I have done in my daily rx a auto na s4. I used every s4 part on a s5 motor. That set up as simple as it is with just a header intake t2 fuel pump and 550 secondary injectors and emisions removed. Will out run a mid ninty's celica. Thats on a factory port and will save you a lot of time and money.
