Well i accidently messed up my maf on my s4.
i have an s5 maf sensor laying around,
i wanted to know if i could switch these.
i have noticed that the plugs are different so theyd have to be changed.
anyone have a write up or can someone assist me?

Whats different is that the s4 vaf has two extra wires for the fuel pump switch, a function the s5 ecu handles. If you were to try and use the s5 vaf which shouldn't be that hard you would need to switch the fuel pump another way.

 

How would i be able to switch the fuel pump?
and would you happen to know which wires are for the fuel pump switch?

i just need it as a temporarily fix so i can go pick up an s4 maf!!

or just get the correct airflow meter before screwing something else up...

 

I ended up getting a s4 maf but it has caused a rough idle and my car to smoke a bit.
should i go through and use the s5 maf, Orrr?
