S5 intake to S4 question

What is involved to put an S5 NA intake onto a stock S4 NA? If I have the complete intake is it just a straight swap, or is there some improvising involved? Do I need any other pieces like a different ECU or some thing?

There are links describing this swap in the FAQ, and several related topics in the Archive.

I have a thread with some good information on this if you search my name.

I am selling a S5 NA intake kit for $250 if you want as well, (All three intake sections, Fuel Rails)

Thanks for the info guys sounds like a good mod. Gonna be trickier and pricier than I figured. I probably could pull it off with some swearing, but I don't feel that ambitious.

Anything special putting an S4 intake on an S5? I have a good s5 core, but don't have a way to control the features on the S5 intake (only have the stock s4 ECU) (I do have the s5 intake though) I also have multiple S4 intakes...

Thanks.

You will need to find a way to control the VDI. Generally this is done with an RPM switch and a solenoid to direct air from the air pump.

Well you can see what I did to control the AUX and VDI on one guys car. He still wanted to keep emmisions so I used the air pump for pressure, 2 rpm switches and a DIY relay box.

Is this even possible without an air pump? I may attempt this after eveything else is taken care of on the car.

You can use an electronic switch.
