S5 injector custome wiering?

S5 injector custome wiering?

ol just to get pplup to date i installed an S5 TII in my 85 FB, i wired the coils to the ecu as the wiering diagrams says to do, if i spin the cas they each fire at there wright time, now the next problem is this, i dont seem to here the injectores fiering, are they that quite, now pelase note that i dont have a fuel pump on the car yet im just wanting to know if they are getting power seeing as you cant just unplug them, ayn ways, all so the connecter that is nere the steerign box that controles the wipers, coils (at lease i bleive it dose) that plug is missing mabey its what i need to complete the setup, i hope i did not lose all of yous lol

The injectors will not fire unless the AFM is sucking air, at least in my experience. I've done this setup on several 1st gens and when bench testing, the injectors never fire. But in the car they do....

cool thanks man thats what i was hopping for and sounds like it makes sence, if there no air goign in there should not be any fuel going in eather!

You can take any series FOUR RX, turn the key to ON, and spin the CAS with your fingers and HEAR the injectors (primary) clicking. I woildn't have thought the S5 would be any different.

You need to go to the injector plugs and see if you have batt voltage on one wire of each injector. If you do, and the ECU is connected with the right combination of wires, you should hear the primarys click. Been there, done that too many times for any doubt.

If that's internet language your using, imho it's more difficult to read than stock english.

lol nop its plain english at 1:30am ish after a week of not more then 5H per night sleep, so i did not even look at what i was typing lol, and yes the S4 dose run a test on injector and the coils, i do rember that now that you ssayed it.

What if the AFM is not plugged in? I have never had it connected when doing my testing.
