s5 gtu engine swap

i am going to put my s4 engine in my s5 but i wanted to know what i need to do with the computer and wires and any other stuff i might need to know

you have to change the front cover w/ the OMP...if you want to keep it that is. I would just block it off.

Can't block it off, series 5 would never run right that way. You're going to have to swap injectors, slap the s5 TB on there, swap front covers and stick the electric oil metering pump on, oh, and I hope you know you have to use the s5 wiring harness. There's probably more to it, but that's the major things

my bad, i read it wrong, i thought he was going to put the computer and wiring from the S4 in there too.

From what I've read, that's a hell of a job to do, pulling the dash and replacing almost every harness underneath it. If he's really going to do that, then you're right, but wow, that's a LOT of work!

Why don't you put an S5 motor back in??? It has more stock HP.

Hehehe lots of conflicting info here....

If you've got the S4 shortblock, you can swap that in by itself. You swap over all the manifolding, the S5 electronic MOP bolts up, move the connection for the water temp gauge sender. Basically you keep everything but the bare block.

If you've got the S4 longblock, you can pretty much mix-and-match the engine as you wish, except that you've got to keep the S5 MOP and ECU together.

No, the s5 omp will NOT bolt to a series 4 front cover.

im pretty sure they wont conect w/ the s5 harness
i got s5 injectors and a s5 front cover
