Arrow s5 grill pics please!!

hey i am unable to work for the next few weeks due to my mangle finger. While i cant do any real work, i figured i'd take care of some light bodywork i been neglecting. Well one of my intended tasks was to cut out the grill of my s5 bumper and replace it with some nice aluminum mesh. It seemed great in ym head however when i came across a write up on fc3s.org it ended up looking nasty. does anyone have any good pics of this mod to give me an idea of how itll turn out before I get to it?

I have cut the Grill, but didn't replace it with anything.
It looks much better without it.

I take a pic.

I can imagine aluminum looking somewhat ricey, but if it were painted flat black it might look better.. whatever, I'm not the "rice judge". How much does that stuff cost?

I think a grill would look really nasty.

Cheap on ebay, but the better quality stuff is liek 20 on cork sport. I saw an aluminum grill in that location on a nice 92 prelude, looked very tasteful. ill try it out and if it ooks like **** ill just leave it open.

Agreed. Aluminum = ricey, painted black not so bad.

Mine is cut out, nothing in its place though.

DO NOT under any circumstances be temped to run with out a grille or mesh of some type. I learned that the hard way when I sucked in a plastic bag that completely covered the oil cooler, sending temps upward quickly...

I used 10x10mm wire mesh, cut on a 45deg angle and painted black. We have a huge roll of this stuff at work, but I'm sure you could get the same stuff for no more than a few bucks.

Im gonna do the mesh painted black. i just saw it on my friends M3 and it looks quite nice. My only problem now is finding a new wayto hang my tag, any suggestion? Imma look in strauss for some cheap plate holder i can hook inside and keep a hole in the mesh for.

Sorry to be OT, but NZConvertible - What color is that car? I've been looking for pics of a Shadow Silver FC - is that Shadow Silver Metallic or Harbor Blue Metallic?

Look at mine. It's just the stock bracket.

It's a very dark green. It's the same colour used on the Infini IV's. It's also very dirty (it's been raining all week). Better pics are coming soon.
