The stock fuel rail is long and skinny, while it CAN handle the flow for 500 HP, Long Skinny Tubes as subject for pulsation, especially when you start using bigger injectors than they were designed for. Aslo, the FPR is attached to the secondary rail... with 500 HP, you are definately gonna want to NIX that thing in favor of a better unit like an SX or Aeromotive.
K2RD makes a secondary rail for 1600 CC injectors which has a bigger diameter core than the stock and comes with -an fittings. (it won't fit the stock injector sizes)
antistaticspeed on E-Bay is selling primary and secondary, billet adonized fuel rails that fit the stock injector sizes on Ebay for about 180 for the set or 90 bucks a piece. (they won't fit the 1600's however.)
I have his primary rail with is a sweet piece. Its has a 3/4 inch bore to stop pulsation and fits the standard primaries. I went with 1600CC secondaries, so I got the K2RD secondary rail. But, If i find tuning prob's with the 1600's, I'm going to get one of antistaticspeed's secondary rails and switch to 1000cc injectors instead
PS.. I found a guy that sells the Chrysler 1600CC injectors for 67 bucks EACH... the Chrysler injectors have brown tops instead of blue like the ford style, are the same dimesnions, but they have the fastest injector response time of the bosche 1600's.
