S5 front-clip.......worth it?
I'm thinking of buying a S5 front clip. Its has a blown rear rotor but another s5 j-spec is included, as well as a rear differential. Im trying to find the most cost effective way to convert my 89 GTU. With this all i would have to buy is the ecu, trans, driveshaft, and subframe right?
what ya think?

Yes, the spare motor is good. I was wondering the same thing, could i find all the stuff i need all separate for a bettrer price?
(only plus of the clip is the little stuff like hood, throttle cables, brake booster etc)

...94% correct.
Where is the clip? For an example on shipping from LA to Amarillo a 1jz-GTE Supra front clip cost me $450 to ship. Also you really need to check the condition of the other engine. A guaruntee would be great. If you could get the whole shibang for less than $2500 with a good engine I would say "steal" but that's just me...
