S5 front-clip.......worth it?

I'm thinking of buying a S5 front clip. Its has a blown rear rotor but another s5 j-spec is included, as well as a rear differential. Im trying to find the most cost effective way to convert my 89 GTU. With this all i would have to buy is the ecu, trans, driveshaft, and subframe right?

what ya think?

Ok then, lol. Is the other j-spec compression tested and what not? If so I would only consider shipping. I was goign to pay 2500 for one but ended up getting all the stuff I need in a non clip form for 1500 shipped. So I think that I got a better deal.

Where is the clip? For an example on shipping from LA to Amarillo a 1jz-GTE Supra front clip cost me $450 to ship. Also you really need to check the condition of the other engine. A guaruntee would be great. If you could get the whole shibang for less than $2500 with a good engine I would say "steal" but that's just me...

The front clip should have the tranny, ecu, pressure sensor and everything that you should need. Driveshaft is it. This is providing that it does have all the parts I just mentioned.

Clip cost more than getting stuff individually but in my opinion buying a clip is better because you know you're getting everything you need.

They're only going to guaruntee the engine for 5 days? For a questionable used rotory that sounds like ****.

Makenzie71 is right. Will end up costing more but less headache of tracking stuff down.

No...you use the ECU that comes with the clip. I don't know about the rear end...I think that's all you need.
