AL S5 FC high rpm issue?

Ok, so my FC loves to rev to 6k, but anywhere beyond that it seems like its fighting its self, is this normal or does it need something?

Ignition breaking up in the upper range could be a lot of stuff. The FSM has a pretty good troubleshooting section, where you can identify likely culprits. You can also check engine trouble codes. FSM at rotaryheads.com

A good place to start would be checking for vacuum/boost leaks. If the engine is getting a different ratio of air than it thinks it has, things can get goofy, especially at higher RPM.

Fuel deficiency can do it as well.
