S5 (Engine/ECU/Wires/ACCs) to S4 Possible?

Hey guys... I've searched and read all over about doing the S5 to S4 swap, but one question that is never answered is this: I was wondering if I can pull everything (I mean EVERYTHING in the engine bay) from an S5 car and use it in my S4 car.

The idea being to completely strip the the S4 of all engine parts and insert all the S5 ones in their place. Is this feasible or do-able?

Thanks!

I am pretty certain that you would have to replace ALL wiring in the car, which is a huge PITA. I honestly can't see a reason to do it. Drop in the s5 keg, swap to s4 front cover and your good, except that you will need to splice on a new connector for the temp sensor (or just use an aftermarket) since the s4 and s5 connectors are different.

Why is this so popular this week...?

The advantages of running an S5 ECU and harness are minimal. The additional work required to connect it up to the rest of the electrical system is not! It is far easier to keep all the S4 electrics and fit them to the S5 engine. There's still a bit of mucking around required, plus if you want a functional OMP you have swap the S4 front cover and TB onto the S5 engine.

Do you need a new engine or are you just looking at this as an upgrade. If you need a new one, look for an S4 first. If not, it's a lot of work for minor gains...

He needs a new one. The one in his s4 vert is locked up and he found an s5 parts car with a good rebuilt motor so he trying to figure it out from there.
