S5 Cone filter question

I recently took out my old air box and my S5 N/A and installed a cone filter. I soon realized that the air pump draws filtered air via the air box. With the box gone what are you guys using to filter the hose drawing in air for the pump? I looked at Pepboys (Yes I realize Pepboys is for ricers and generally inept teenagers but I had no choice) and all they have are little filters with a 1/4" inlet. Much to small for the 3/4 air pump hose.

Any ideas?

I am currently using a ripped piece of my cotten shirt I was wearing as a filter...

Go get yourself a valve-cover K&N filter... they work pretty good. I had to cut the inserted end a little bit to fit over the air-pump inlet.. but then I just put a hose clamp on it and called it good. Looked decent and worked well.

I wouldn't drive it with the shirt piece. There was a guy a few years back that used a shirt instead of an air filter and sucked into the turbo.
Also, I have a spare HKS intake that has a connector on it for the air pump hose. No idea if it was original, though.

I like the K&N idea. This may seem stupid but where can I get one? Auto part stores arn't going to carry that.

Very easy, go to a parts store and get a small breather filter. I have a random orange filter I bought from advance, removed the clamp, and took off the hose and it fit like a glove right onto the air pump.
