Cool S5 Cluster Swap Finally Done!

Hey guys, I've finally did my S4 to S5 swap! After a few Phone calls to my neighboring FC and FD buddies and also some research on this site, I finally got it done! A bit cut up but hey, it was worth having the extra 20 mph and that 9 grand Tach! BOOM!

why not just re-pin the harness instead of cut it up?

Cool i guess, looks better but now you have the less accurate gauge setup. Now you have to buy seperate water temp and oil pres. gauges

^ The stock S5 temp gauge is more of like an idiot light.

wasting money.. the S4 tach and speedo are bigger and the S4 temp, oil pressure gauges are much more accurate.

and I posted how to re-pin the harness so that you could use a S5 cluster in a S4 probably 6 years ago

Wow, a new instrument cluster made your engine rev 1000rpm higher and made your car go 20mph faster!

Or it was actually a royal waste of time because your car couldn't reach the top of the old scales let alone the new ones...

lol wow people, chill out haha i just added an s5 for the hell of it so i have something to do. It just reads up to 20 more mph and reads up to 9k but uhh yeah dude- my car goes 20 more mph faster because it revs up 9 grand- ITS A MIRACLE! What more can I say?

I thought ya'll were cool on this forum, but you guys are just like the honda civic people.....everybody thinks they know it all on how to make their cars hotter and faster, when somebody does something you dont like, dont ****** rain on their parade! just say it aint my style and/or offer suggestions

....thanks

Why would you do this? Do you have an S5 engine? Your profile says 87 GXL. Now your tach isn't accurate and your speedo is off.
