s5 block, s4 block...

I purchased an 87 GXL from a dude. He hadn't said anything about there being a new engine in there.

It's got a blown coolant seal.

So I bought a new block.

the old block doesn't have the "license NSU wankel" on it, but the new one does...

The way I see it, is that it's possible that the old block is an S5.
Is there anything I have to worry about when putting it back together ?
Hose wise ? connector wise ?

the manifold is DEFINIATELY S4...

Help!

Thanks

I've been searching around on this. Can someone help me out here...
Is it possible to have an S4 engine without the "NSU Wankel" stamp ?

I have seen some 88's without the NSU Wankle

And as a reminder, Bumps are forbidden here in the 2nd gen technical section. Please do not bump again in here.

nsu

It's on the rotor housing, just above where it says "MAZDA 13B" on the oil filler neck side of the engine.
