S5 alternator to S4

Yes the title is typed right and I do mean what it says. I searched and came up with absolutley no luck. My friends S5 GXL alternator went bad, I have 4 spare S4 alternators and was going to put one on for him even though its 10amps less. Before doing so I noticed the clip on the back of it is different than the S4's. I know he should really just buy the right one but with so many spares I have and the price im giving him I feel I should help him out, without him losing money. I just wanted to know if I could splice the wires, put on an S4 clip and hook it up to the S4 alternator. Is there anything that can go wrong, anything I should look out for? Sounds pretty dumb to me to ask these questions but I like to make sure of things instead of taking chances and making things worse.
Thanks for any of the help or in put any of you have for me.

That swap makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to me...modify the wiring and use a non-stock part to end up with less performance?
Most people already consider the S5 alternator to be marginal- hence the popularity of the FD swap- I just can't see how even a killer price justifies going in the opposite direction.
If you really want to help out your buddy, loan him the money to either replace his stock alt or upgrade to a better one.

It does make sense. I have a lot of spares that i dont even need or want to sell. Im helping by making him spend a lot less than a shop would do it.(he dant do anything on a car) And also when ever it goes bad again....I will have others to swap for him. It helps him in the long run, so I just if anyone can awnser my questions I posted before that would be great. Thanks so far for nothing, Nick

OK, here's something.
If you search for S4>S5 alt swap, you should be able to just do the reverse.

Here's something else...A Link.
