Does the s5 alternator post have an 8mm stud on it?

The post on my 20B alternator is busted.

If it is 8mm and someone could hook me up with an extra s5 post they have kicking around from doing an alternator swap it would be appreciated.

I forgot the size, but the FD alternator post is bigger then the S4 post. The S5 and FD are the same in case that helps.

I put an S4 post on my FD alt, if you want the old FD post you can have it.

 

You can mount a S4 "post" on an FD alternator just as easily as an S5's. Just that the mounting point for the charging wire spade is larger than an S4's, so for that reason you'll want one off an S5.

However, one off an S5's is popular for those that do an FD alternator swap. So you have competition for getting that post.

I suggest you simply go to a local place that rebuilds alternators. I'll bet they have a bucket of posts you could choose from.
