s5 alt into s4 car problems and excessive heat from alt
so about a year ago I installed an s5 alternator per the schematics floating around here.
now I have had a drain on my battery ever since.
I have found that:
main alt wire when disconnected kills the drain
and little plug when disconnected kills the drain
If I reverse the wires in the plug the drain is fixed but the alternator heats up excessivly.
so I am lost on this, any thoughts guys?
