S4 Vs. S5 N/A tranny Questions

Is there a difference between the S4 and S5 N/A transmission shifter rod or box or anything in that area. Is the white bushing thicker than the blue bushing? After replacing both shifter bushings and chaning to an S5 trans, my S4 shifter is sloppy as hell, even though the ball at the bottom is the same size. Is the end of the shift rod where the small lower ball sits different on different generations of transmission?

if i remember correctly, there is a little bushing inside the trans that the ball sits in, kind of, that there is no individual part number for. i have heard it gets replaced when you get a rebuilt tranny. there may be stuff about it if you search the forum good and hard because i can't think of anywhere else i would have read about this.
