S4 vs. S5 front spindles
Logic tells me they S4 and S5 spindles are interchagagle. To confirm, I've searched through this site and Mazdatrix site. Many points indicate they are interchangable, but not for sure such as a 5 lug hub will fit perfectly on a 4 lub spindle. But, this doesn't necessarily mean the spindles are interchangable between S4 and S5. So, I'll put it out to the community:
Are S4 and S5 front spindles interchangable?
Thanks in advance. This is in preparation for an early morning job tomorrow.

If they really do interchange, as in thewhole S5 spindle can fit into an S4, post your finding here please

Im eager to know this also since I found a 89 gxl and I was always wondering if the front and rear spindle will fit the S4 SE model with the 4 lugs.

I can confirm they are interchangable. I took a front spindle off a '87 TII and put it on my '91 Vert. Absolutly no problem installing. Only took about 30 minutes Removal & Replacing/installiing. To be safe, I had my allignment checked afterward, and no adjustment was needed.
Cool.
Cool.
